NIH Children's Inn
I donate to the NIH Children's Inn, where kids from all over the world come to have their rare diseases treated and researched. All profits given to the Inn, go to help feed the children and their families. The profits also go to help the scientific research of those rare diseases. I believe that these kids need as much attention as any other person afflicted with a more common disease such as breast cancer or leukemia. When I was in 7th grade, my friends and I donated origami models to the Inn, but I wanted to help out even more. Selling my pieces not only validates my confidence in my origami, but also benefits the children at the Inn.

Michelle Dufault Fund
Michele Dufault was a brilliant Yale student, scientist, mentor, and friend, who passed away in a lab accident in 2011. To honor her memory and her projects, Michele's friends and colleagues have established the Michele Dufault Summer Research Fellowship and Conference Fund. The fund will support a summer fellowship for women in the physical sciences. It will also be used to support conferences that encourage young women to pursue the physical sciences, such as the National Conference on Undergraduate Women in Physics, for which Michele was a committed organizer. Meet my Friends!

Tori Seidenstein: Tori is a senior at Walt Whitman High School. I introduced her to origami and soon all our friends were folding together during lunch. Tori is interested in the overlapping principles behind origami and calculus and she’s "glad to have the opportunity to use origami to support charitable causes."

Gabrielle (Gabby): I love folding origami because it is relaxing and displays the limitless 3D modeling capabilities of paper. Folding for “Everything Origami” is very rewarding because it allows me to give back to charities in need by doing something that I love to do. It is amazing that by simply folding origami, we have donated thousands of dollars to charities such as the NIH Children's Inn and Michelle Dufualt Fund
